We have always tried to hit this place up every time we drive up North. We have been fortunate to come across Johnny who was so generous when we were there. Hospitality 100%. Thank you so very much!! The place is always very welcoming and friendly. I was also celebrating my birthday, so of course, we basically got everything..The topper was the Halo-Halo. Best birthday treat ever! No doubt we recommend this place. Support your locals!
Came in on a rainy day with my father looking for some Filipino comfort food. Lawrence made us feel so welcome and suggested some delicious food. I got the kaldereta and the vegetables which were delicious. My father got the Kare kare and the sisig which were also very good. My favorites were the kaldereta and the Kare kare. Great selection of food and amazing atmosphere, Lawrence made us feel like family while we dined there and was very passionate and excited about all of his dishes. I definitely recommend Camalig to anyone looking for some Filipino comfort food or anyone who has not yet had the pleasure of experiencing good Filipino food.
Camalig Salinas Authentic Filipino Food has HANDS DOWN THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVER. Every single thing I've ever gotten here has been amazing. Got a lechon (crispy porkbelly) for my birthday and lumpia and pancit and it was a hit!! Their fryer must be kissed by God because everything that comes out tastes like heaven. Service is so friendly and warm it feels like coming to eat with family. If you don't take food to go or can't wait there is space to stay and eat.

Camalig has been on our radar for quite some time but we have not been able to stop in until this week and BOY LEMME TELL YOU this food is AMAZING! We were greeted by the lovely lady when we arrived and a man came from the back to explain all the options available. My hubby and I decided on a 2 option plate, I had the "world famous " pork adobo (one of the hubs options as well) and the chicken adobo, the hubby also picked the beef stew. When we say flavor packed we mean it!, delicious! When he said the pork was world famous, we can understand why it was falling apart, and with the sauce mixed with the white rice is just heavenly. The beef stew was flavorful and delicious. When we left the restaurant we were happily on the way to Costco to walk it off because if we would have went home we would have been sleeping it off instead! The lumpia were outstanding ! They only had vegetable ones available we ordered enough to bring home so we could have a few for later(pop those bad boys in the air fryer for a few minutes and they were right back to Crispy deliciousness) we enjoyed them for our light dinner due to still being full from lunch. The restaurant itself is small quaint and homey. Small coffee area and the feels of eating at a family member's house. Lawrence (so so nice!) came out and and cut us a slice of flan- Omggggg I'm not even kidding about how good it was. In my culture flan is thick(not my favorite) but the thin slice with the delicious Carmel sauce ... damn! Seriously makes me want to go back today just thinking of it! This is one of those places you want to blow up because they deserve it but you also don't want everybody to go so they're always sold out when you arrive lol all seriousness we wish them so much success! We felt so at home here, Lawrence is sincerely so nice and the other staff was equally amazing. We will be back
I went back today and had the pork adobo w/ rice. It was Excellent! They had new dishes and I tried them all. The waitress was very nice about it. A huge to-go plate for under $11. I was feeling pre-COVID price vibes. I will say that this restaurant does not have a restroom for the public. I'm not happy with that.
